A group of prisoners, who know no world beyond the walls of their jail, manage to escape. They find themselves in an underground cave, where a small opening high above allows sunlight to filter in. The prisoners dream of freedom and, with this goal in mind, build a community. But what happens when the one who was supposed to liberate them starts craving power, and the quest for escape turns into a new form of oppression? Zenith uses dance as a language to illustrate the dynamics of power that have shaped political environments in recent decades, not just in Central Europe but across the globe. The film’s choreographer is Slovak Anton Lachky, who has lived in Brussels for twenty years, where he leads the successful dance company Anton Lachky Company.
