Zaffan, a teenage girl of 12, lives the carefree life of a teenage girl in a village shackled by traditions. Together with her best friends Farah and Mariam, they form an inseparable trio. They have fun making crazy TikTok videos, putting stickers on everything in the neighbourhood, and going swimming in the river after school. Zaffan is a rebel. She’s the first one of the girl gang to wear a bra, the first one to get her period. Everyone around—teachers, classmates, and parents are shocked, disgusted, or indifferent. They turn their backs on her. Zaffan is growing up. Her mind and body are undergoing significant transformations. She begins to stick her claws out.
