The Professional Parent

The film The Professional Parent tells the story of Ingrid, who, living in a difficult financial situation with a constantly ill child, decides to become a professional parent to a young Romani girl. This decision significantly disrupts her fragile family relationships. The film is made up of only 12 shots over the course of 14 minutes. It captures the life of the protagonist and her struggle against her dire financial situation through a documentary-style, subjective approach.
