The Hypnosis

André and Vera are partners not only in their personal lives but also in business. They dedicate everything to their startup. Their polished personal life must fit into all the boxes that lead to success. They are on the brink of a significant milestone: a prestigious competition led by a renowned guru who opens the doors to big business. The presentation is ready, the speeches are perfected, and the future seems clear. That is until a dissatisfied Vera decides to try hypnotherapy, which triggers a chain of events revealing just how little control the protagonists actually have over their lives. In his debut, Swedish director Ernst de Geer cleverly blends sharp satire on a society losing its spontaneity with a gentle romantic comedy about a couple going through a serious relationship crisis.
