About men without men… About children without children… About women without souls… In 1957, a law was passed in Czechoslovakia legalizing the targeted termination of pregnancy—abortion. Contraception was unavailable. So-called ethics commissions, popularly known as abortion commissions, were introduced. The film had its world premiere in Romania at the 11th SHORT to the Point festival, where it won two major prizes, for Best Film and Best Actress in a Leading Role. It had its international premiere in Russia at the Moscow Shorts international film festival, where it also won the main prize for Best Student Film. The film was screened in the USA in California at the iFilm Fest 2020 international film festival, where it won two major awards, for Best Short Film and Best Director.
