The Golden Land

The people in a God-forsaken land in the centre of Europe long ago became accustomed to isolation and the ignorance of the rest of the world. One day, heavy machinery appears on their property, strangers walk around the countryside, the earth starts to tremble. The struggle of the inhabitants of three small villages in eastern Slovakia against a big American oil company is the backdrop of our observation of how a single person’s voice can be transformed from ridiculous screaming into a profound life attitude defending traditional values.
