The main organiser of the Cinematik International Film Festival is Cinematik, s. r. o. We care about the protection of your personal data which you provide to us and therefore, in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as the „Regulation“) and Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter also referred to as the „Act“), we process your personal data as follows:

Cinematik, s. r. o., with its registered office at Lazaretská 2398/11, 811 08 Bratislava, IČO: 45302847 (hereinafter referred to as „Cinematik“), is the operator whom you can contact regarding the exercise of your rights in the area of personal data protection as follows:

We will reply to you without undue delay, at the latest within one month, or this period may be extended by a further two months if the statutory conditions for extending this period are met.

What data do we process about you?
Festival Pass Sales
Festival passes for the International Film Festival are sold through the Inviton portal. The collection of your following personal data is carried out by Inviton s. r. o., Nové Záhrady I. 11, 821 05 Bratislava for our company Cinematik, s. r. o.:
- Personal identification and contact details: First name, surname, email address, gender, and age
- Payment information: for example, bank account number
- communication data: for example, the content of mutual written or email correspondence, internet data transmissions, and IP address.
- access rights: access rights to the booking portal.
We use your data for the purpose of:
- Festival Pass releases
- Cinema entrance checks
- statistical survey and producing statistical outputs
- emergency contact details (for example, if you lose your Festival Pass and the person who finds it hands it in at the Cinematik festival centre)
Personal data will be processed for a limited period and will be erased once the purpose for which it is being processed has been fulfilled.
Newsletter sending
We send newsletters using The Newsletter Plugin on our website. Your following personal data is collected by our company, Cinematik, s. r. o., in an internal database on the servers of Websupport, s.r.o.:
- Personal identification and contact details: first name, surname and email address
We use your data for the purpose of:
- information about the Cinematik International Film Festival, its programme, accompanying events and special events
- presentation festival partners
- marketing purpose
We will process this personal data until you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent to receive newsletters at any time via the link located directly in the email newsletter, or inform us of your decision by email at gdpr@cinematik.sk.
Film Submission
We collect film submissions through Google Forms. Your following personal data, along with other film-related data, is collected by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland for our company Cinematik, s.r.o.:
- Personal identification and contact details: First name, surname, email address, telephone number
- Company details: company name, website
- details of the film being submitted: film title, director’s first name and surname, screenwriter’s first name and surname, cinematographer’s first name and surname, editor’s first name and surname, composer’s first name and surname, year of production, country of origin, running time, a brief synopsis, the title or first name and surname of the producer, the distributor’s name, the film format, a list of awards, the web address (and, where applicable, the access password) for the screener, and any other notes provided
Personal data will be processed for a limited period and will be erased once the purpose for which it is being processed has been fulfilled.
Website
It is in our legitimate interest to know how our visitors use our websites in order to improve their visit and usage options and convenience, as well as the possibility of marketing communication. To this end, we also use third-party tools to the minimum extent possible. This mainly includes Google Tag Manager. For this purpose, we collect IP addresses and cookies. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

For Cinematik, s. r. o., your personal data will be processed exclusively by authorised employees.
- Newsletter sending The Newsletter Plugin ensures this on our website. Your data is stored in the database on the servers of Websupport, s.r.o. For Cinematik, s. r. o., your personal data will be processed exclusively by authorised employees.
- Film Submission is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland in accordance with the privacy policies, which you can read at https://cloud.google.com/security/gdpr/. For Cinematik, s. r. o., your personal data will be processed exclusively by authorised employees.
- Website It is operated by Cinematik, s. r. o., hosted on the servers of WebSupport, s. r. o., Karadžičova 12, 821 08 Bratislava. IP address and cookie data is primarily collected by Google Tag Manager.
What are your rights?
We hereby inform you that you have the following rights, the terms of which are set out in the Regulation as well as in the Act. You have the right to request Cinematiku to access your personal data, the right to rectify or erase it, or to restrict processing, or to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability. These rights are regulated in more detail in Articles 15 to 23 of the Regulation as well as below in this information.
Right of access
You have the right to be provided with a copy of the personal data we hold about you, as well as information on how we use your personal data. In most cases, your personal data will be provided to you in written paper form, unless you request another method of provision. If you have requested these details by electronic means, they will be provided to you electronically if technically feasible.
Right to repair
We are taking reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. If you believe that the information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date, please do not hesitate to ask us to amend, update, or add to this information.
Right to be forgotten
You have the right to ask us to erase your personal data, for instance, if the personal data we have collected about you is no longer necessary for the original purpose of processing. However, your right needs to be assessed from the perspective of all relevant circumstances. For example, we may have certain legal and regulatory obligations, which means we may not be able to comply with your request.
Right to restrict processing
Under certain circumstances, you are entitled to ask us to stop using your personal data. This includes, for example, situations where you believe that the personal data we hold about you may be inaccurate, or where you believe we no longer need to use your personal data.
The right to data portability
Under certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to transfer the personal data you have provided to us to another third party of your choice. However, the right to portability only applies to personal data that we have obtained from you based on your consent or based on a contract to which you are a party.
Right to object

Rights relating to automated decision-making

The right to make a complaint
If you wish to lodge a complaint about how your personal data is processed, including exercising the rights mentioned above, you may contact our Data Protection Officer. We will properly investigate all your submissions and complaints.
